Rear Seating Positions Are Safest
According to accident statistics, in a vehicle with rear designated
seating positions, children are safer when properly restrained in
rear seating positions than in front seating positions. As a rule, if
a lap-shoulder belt is available, use the rear middle position. The
second choice is the rear outboard position, on the curb side.
Use this restraint only on forward facing vehicle seats. Do not use
in rear-facing seats of station wagons or side facing seats. Read
this section carefully. If in doubt, return to the dealer for help.
